Ohrid is a city on Lake Ohrid and is named a World Heritage Site. The lake is absolutely breathtaking - it is one of the oldest and deepest in the Balkans. For the medical student conference our group was put in a bungalow on the hotel property with a great view of the lake.

Our conference (for some context) is the August General Assembly of the International Federation of Medical Student Associations (IFMSA.) About 800 medical students from over 60 countries were present. It was so amazing to meet med students from all over the world! One night we had a National Food and Drink Party where each country had a table to showcase their country. Some people dressed up in traditional clothing. We brought Southern Comfort, Jack Daniels and Johnny Walker so our table was quite popular. Our delegation also brought a lot of Obama stuff...everyone loved it. The picture here is of me and my friend Bella from Indonesia - she rocks!
